The Suwannee Hulaween Music Competition takes place within the midst of 800 acres of Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress bushes alongside the Suwannee River. Yearly the Florida wilderness is remodeled into a visible arts extravaganza, by gifted sculptors, painters, mild designers and performers within the Southeast. Graphic design studio The Collected Works have been requested to design the 2017 pageant look, together with the identification, brand, posters, animations and attire.
Principal Justin Colt explains the answer: “To start with, we established what made Suwannee so rad; the expertise of slipping into the woods and getting misplaced. The oak bushes and Spanish moss masks off the skin world, and act as a portal to the music, artwork and journey of the pageant. The pure setting turns into the canvas; with performances, installations and light-weight projections celebrating the wilderness. All these components converge as the colours, creatures and pure canvas weave collectively to construct an alluring identification system that compliments the vibe of the pageant. It’s artwork. It’s nature. It’s so Florida.” All artwork route and design was performed by The Collected Works; illustration is by Iain Burke.
