In its first work for Graybeard Distillery, The Republik of Durham NC has developed the model id for launch of the shopper’s first product, Bedlam Vodka. To achieve the supposed goal market, spirit drinkers on the lookout for one thing new and who don’t determine with present vodka market manufacturers, Bedlam is cultivating an “outsider” id.


Completely hand-lettered, the bottle carries intensive messaging, together with such mottos as “Vodka needn’t burn” and “Perfected by our ancestors, seven centuries in the past” and “Spirits are our birthright” and “Solid by noble monks.” Artistic director Robert Shaw West describes the design model as someplace between “rustic” and “punk.” The bottle is silk-screened with a 20% tint of black and funky gray 6. Artwork director is Matt Shapiro, assistant designer Brandon Guthrie and copywriter Neil Hinson.
